Infants & Toddlers

Gentle chiropractic care for growing little bodies

The first few years of life are huge.

From pregnancy and birth, through to feeding, sleeping, tummy time, crawling, walking and talking, your baby’s body and nervous system are constantly adapting.

At Better., we understand that every baby, every birth and every family is different. Some babies seem to settle into the world easily. Others may show signs that they are uncomfortable, unsettled, restricted or struggling with certain stages of development.

Our role is to listen carefully, assess thoroughly and help you understand what may be going on.

When parents often bring babies and toddlers in

Parents may choose to have their baby or toddler assessed if they have noticed things like:

  • ongoing unsettledness or discomfort

  • difficulty feeding or latching

  • favouring one side when feeding or sleeping

  • restricted neck movement or always turning one way

  • difficulty with tummy time

  • flat spots or changes in head shape

  • stiffness through the body, arms or legs

  • delays or struggles with rolling, crawling or walking

  • discomfort in the car seat or pram

  • sleep challenges

  • digestive discomfort or wind

  • general concerns after a difficult pregnancy or birth

These signs do not always mean something serious is wrong, but they can be your baby’s way of showing that their body may need support.

Our approach

We take a calm, gentle and considered approach to infant and toddler care.

Your first visit is about understanding your child’s history, including pregnancy, birth, feeding, sleep, movement and development. We look at how your baby is moving, how their body is adapting and whether there are areas of tension, restriction or imbalance that may be affecting comfort and function.

We will always explain what we find in simple language, so you understand what is happening and why we may recommend care.

No pressure. No scare tactics. Just clear information and a plan that makes sense for your child and your family.

Is chiropractic care gentle for babies?

Yes. Care for infants and toddlers is very different from adult chiropractic care.

The techniques used are modified for your child’s age, size and stage of development. There is no forceful twisting, cracking or popping.

Everything is gentle, specific and explained to you before we do anything. Your comfort as a parent matters, and we want you to feel fully informed at every step.

Why early assessment can be helpful

Babies grow and change quickly. Small restrictions or patterns in the body can sometimes affect how they feed, sleep, move or develop.

By assessing these things early, we can help you better understand your child’s body and provide support where appropriate.

Our goal is not just to treat symptoms. It is to help your child move, grow and function as well as possible.

What to expect at your first visit

At your first appointment, we will:

  • talk through your baby’s pregnancy and birth history

  • discuss feeding, sleeping, digestion and development

  • gently assess movement, posture and body function

  • explain what we find

  • answer your questions

  • recommend the next step if care is appropriate

We know bringing your baby to a new appointment can feel overwhelming, especially if you are tired, worried or unsure. Our clinic is designed to feel calm, welcoming and family-friendly.

You can feed, settle, change or cuddle your baby whenever needed.

Supporting parents too

We know this stage of life can be beautiful, but also exhausting.

When your baby is unsettled, not feeding well, not sleeping or you just feel like something is not quite right, it can affect the whole family.

You do not need to have all the answers before booking. That is what we are here for.

We will help you understand what may be going on and whether chiropractic care may be suitable.
