How we help
Extremities
You might keep rolling that same weak ankle — the one that has never felt quite right since you injured it years ago.
Maybe your wrists ache or throb from carpal tunnel or repetitive strain, making everyday tasks harder than they should be.
Perhaps you have tried cortisone injections, but they only offered short-term relief — or no real improvement at all.
Your elbow may flare up after a big day at work, or your knee might start hurting after just 10 minutes of walking or running, even though you would love to go further.
These kinds of recurring aches and injuries can be frustrating, especially when they start limiting the way you move, work and live.
Extremity Pain and Injury Care
Your shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet are known as your extremities.
These areas can be affected by sports injuries, accidents, repetitive strain, work demands, school activities and everyday habits.
At Better., our chiropractors assess the way your whole body moves — from your spine through to your hands and feet. This is often referred to as the kinetic chain.
Sometimes, pain in one area is influenced by how another area is moving or compensating. For example, an issue such as plantar fasciitis may benefit from looking not only at the foot, but also at the ankle, knee, hip and spine.
Depending on your assessment, care may include chiropractic adjustments to the spine and, where appropriate, the joints of the affected extremity — such as the ankle, foot, wrist or shoulder.
If you have tried other options for your extremity pain and still have not found lasting relief, speak with us about a thorough assessment. We can help identify what may be contributing to the problem and discuss whether chiropractic care may be suitable for you.
